Vijay Rao, Bangalore, India

Nice 'stache, Vijay! This bifurcated bunch of a lip bristles was grown for Movember 2014 by longtime Stacheforge friend Vijay Rao. He currently lives with his wife in Bangalore, India but Stacheforge knew him in a bygone era on the Eastern side of North America, long before he dared to grace his face with such stunning manhandles.

In this photo, Vijay communes with his canine Wally, who appears to be a mix between a German Shepard and Kali. Reportedly, Wally was the alpha dog until Vijay constructed his facial edifice, whereupon Wally has become filled with calm, submissive energy.

Stacheforge is aware that the subcontinent has a long beautiful tradition of growing great mustaches. If any more Indian men want to be featured on Stacheforge, please send pictures to submit@stacheforge.com!

Eduardo Rivera, Las Vegas, Nevada

Nice 'stache, Eduardo!

It's been a long four years but this is the reprise of liphair last seen for World Cup 2010. This year it saw the USA through to today's disappointing but deserved loss to Belgium.

Stacheforge likes this mustache even better than the 2010 version. The longer ends on this one paired with the more substantial tickler are legit. Or maybe it's just the metal face.

Can we look forward to an even more substantial facial adornment in 2018? We here at Stacheforge hope so.

Nick Martyn, Melbourne, Australia

Nice stache, Nick!

Stacheforge is proud to feature the mustache of Nick Martyn, a musician from Melbourne. Nick has been been a professional drummer, percussionist, and recording artist in Melbourne's incredible live music scene for over 10 years. He is a regular player in the jazz circuit, having worked with singers, songwriters, producers, on film and TV sets and in the studio.

His mustache is subtle and smooth, appearing in several variations, similar to Nick's various musical projects:
  • He co-lead a band called Whitesploitation which he describes as "prog-jazz/post-everything".
  • He also co-founded a band called The End, "a local jazz/rock outfit."
  • He co-lead Pan Francis, "an acoustic jazz trio who've toured Australia and New Zealand."
  • Something called the Nick Martyn Trio.
  • When at home in Melbourne Nick offers drum lessons but when he is on tour it's nothing but business.
Currently, however, Nick is the drummer for Clairy Browne & The Bangin' Rackettes, a group formed in Melbourne four years ago. They just completed a tour all around the United States and in the last 2 years they have also toured Australia, Europe, and Japan.

The Stacheforge editorial staff is personally fond of the band's music and recommends their studio album, Baby Caught the Bus, which was released in Australia and for download in 2013, and was released in the US on May 22 through Vanguard Records.

Nick was kind enough to send us these pictures showing off his gentle lip shade, reminiscent of the quill rocked by Prince (no not that prince -- no, not that Prince either).

The first two pictures are promo shots for the band; the third picture shows Nick at a sound check for The Bario/Adelaide Festival, 2012. At Stacheforge, there are no beards allowed, which is why it is important to emphasize that the picture is of Nick and his sweet mouthwarmer, not the bearded man next to him, Brett, a sound engineer. (Although if beards were allowed, that would be a decent beard. Respect.) In the background is bandmember Darcy checking out his shirt!

Nick isn't the only member of the band to improve their face with a nasal adornment: Clairy Browne herself pretended with a painted 'stache at a birthday party!

36 Mustaches That Explain Why There’s No Peace in the Middle East

The title of this article is "36 Mustaches (And A Few Beards) That Explain Why There's No Peace in the Middle East, but this is Stacheforge where there are no beards allowed, so we're just going to give all the credit to the mustaches. Or should we give all the blame to the beards? Whatever, read it over at Foreign Policy.

Draft Geraldo

Stacheforge wholeheartedly endorses Geraldo Rivera for Senate. Lo, after long these many years, our people shall have a voice.

Readers Digest Mustache Linkbait

Perhaps the most shocking thing about this mustache-themed linkbait from Readers Digest is that it is the first evidence in many years that there is still a publication called Readers Digest.

Movember: Alexi Lalas

We here at Stacheforge appreciate Deadspin's enthusiasm, but it is improper to declare Alexi Lalas The Winner of Movember until all the completed staches are compared!

Still, though, that is one seriously manly facebrow.
