Nice stache, Nick!
Stacheforge is proud to feature the mustache of Nick Martyn, a musician from Melbourne. Nick has been been a professional drummer, percussionist, and recording artist in Melbourne's incredible live music scene for over 10 years. He is a regular player in the jazz circuit, having worked with singers, songwriters, producers, on film and TV sets and in the studio.

He is a regular player in the jazz circuit, having worked with singers, songwriters, producers, on film and TV sets and in the studio.
His mustache is subtle and smooth, appearing in several variations, similar to Nick's various musical projects:
- He co-lead a band called Whitesploitation which he describes as "prog-jazz/post-everything".
- He also co-founded a band called The End, "a local jazz/rock outfit."
- He co-lead Pan Francis, "an acoustic jazz trio who've toured Australia and New Zealand."
- Something called the Nick Martyn Trio.
- When at home in Melbourne Nick offers drum lessons but when he is on tour it's nothing but business.
The Stacheforge editorial staff is personally fond of the band's music and recommends their studio album, Baby Caught the Bus, which was released in Australia and for download in 2013, and was released in the US on May 22 through Vanguard Records.
Nick was kind enough to send us these pictures showing off his gentle lip shade, reminiscent of the quill rocked by Prince (no not that prince -- no, not that Prince either).
The first two pictures are promo shots for the band; the third picture shows Nick at a sound check for The Bario/Adelaide Festival, 2012. At Stacheforge, there are no beards allowed, which is why it is important to emphasize that the picture is of Nick and his sweet mouthwarmer, not the bearded man next to him, Brett, a sound engineer. (Although if beards were allowed, that would be a decent beard. Respect.) In the background is bandmember Darcy checking out his shirt!
Nick isn't the only member of the band to improve their face with a nasal adornment: Clairy Browne herself pretended with a painted 'stache at a birthday party!
